I own a F250 Powerstroke. I had just paid to have about $6,000 of bulletproof parts installed. (I had this done at another shop. I'm not from the area and am just learning where to find the good diesel techs in Huntsville.) I did not get my fuel system fixed though. Common issue with fuel tanks on those. If you have a 6.0 powerstroke you're familiar with the tank issues. So, long story short I ran it out of fuel. It ran like garbage for two weeks after that. I figured I had just destroyed the new injectors. By the time I brought it in to Kevin's it was running better but, I was still worried. I was fully prepared to get a a call telling me that I had 2 grand in injector work coming to me. They checked it all out and really did no actual maintenance. That is not an insult. It speaks to their honesty and integrity as nothing was wrong with the truck. I was just being overly worried after seeing horror stories of injector damage from lack of fuel. They could have completely had me pay for work that was not needed. Instead they gave me piece of mind and confidence in my truck. I will be using Kevin's from here on out. I appreciate their honesty, and I have total faith that if they ever did make a mistake or a bad repair that these people would make it right. Thanks again. You have a new lifetime customer. - Dan D. Keeping your fuel system maintained will prevent premature parts failure and poor running conditions. Here at Kevin's Auto Repair we have tips on the important aspects of diesel fuel system maintenance, to keep your diesel fleet trucks running smoothly - longer.
Air. Air in the system causes all kinds of issues, from hard starting, poor running conditions, or an engine that won’t run at all. If too much air gets in the system, the fuel pump won’t be able to deliver fuel, and the engine will stall, die, or fail to start. Air enters the system via a leak or a bad seal - a deteriorated o-ring, worn component, faulty hose, or otherwise. Here we inspect your lines and connections to ensure they are in good shape and track down any leaks we notice air in the system.
Once you’ve determined a vehicle needs to have the engine replaced and is in good enough shape to keep on the team, it’s time to find an engine. Kevin's Auto Repair in Huntsville, AL is here to help you choose the right one. There are a variety of replacement options when it comes to engines.
Kevin's Auto is great! Respectful, kind employees. They do the work quickly, they do a great job, and I have never been over charged or pushed to do unnecessary work. Hands down the best auto shop I have been to, and they have toys, magazines and a TV for the kiddos. - Courtney W. (5 star review on Google)
